PRUNO 5 / 16" & 3 / 16" Tension Hooks
Product Code: 71905
Your 3rd hand! Essential tool to bring tubes together for hassle-free repairs and installations!
• Simple system to hook the tubing, bring it close together and hold it into place during repairs.
• Keeps the tubing loose in the repair area to work without tension on the tube.
• 45" reach
• Aluminum hooks with angled notch for firm grip.
• Double notch for 5/16" and 3/16" tubing.
• 2 short hooks with angled notch (to grip the tubing) + 1 long hook with straight notch (to use as a lever handle and to stabilize).
Usage tips :
• When a leaking fitting needs replacing, use the tension hooks to create a tension-free zone around the fitting and replace it easily.
STEP 1 : Grip the tube on each side of the fitting with the short angled-notch hooks. We recommend a distance of 40" between the hooks.
STEP 2 : Use the 3rd hook (long straight-notch) as a handle or lever to pull the tubes together.
STEP 3 : Clip the 3rd hook anywhere on the line, at the desired distance, depending on the room needed to repair. This will secure the ropes and allow you to do your repair without tension.
• When the tube has broken or come off the fitting, grip both ends with the hooks and bring them together, to give you enough clearance to do the repairs without tension on the tube.
